From the kitchen into the wide world

Everything began in the mid-eighties in Karl-Josef-Schäfer's home kitchen: To manufacture a bend for a ventilation made of plastic, he heated a PVC tube in the oven and then formed it with a bicycle tube.

The result was impressive, and so Karl-Josef proudly demonstrated it to his former boss Horst Severyns. Both men quickly realized the necessity of founding a company which would develop machines for the production of bends - this was foundation date of HoKa (Horst & Karl).

The developed blow pipe procedure was patented and is the central component of HoKa's manufacturing process to date. Today, the company is equipped with the latest in technology and markets its ventilation fittings of thermoplastics throughout the world.

Chronicle

  • 1986: Foundation and move to a larger industrial hall in Siegburg (approx. 400 m²). Employees: 2
  • 1990: Investment in the first injection molds.
  • 1992: Move to Hennef in the Reutherstrasse (800 m²)
  • 1995: Extension of the hall area (1.100 m²)
  • 1998 - 99: Extension of the production, storage and office area (2.500 m²)
  • 2002 - 2004: Enlargement of the areas by another 2.400 m².
  • 2004 - 2008: Expansion of the company and related areas (11.600 m²). Employees: 20
  • 2009: Investment in three new Engel injection molding machines with clamping forces of 90, 300 and 600 tons.
  • 2010: Investment in the fourth Engel injection molding machine with a clamping force of 900 to.
  • 2011: Investment in a new production hall for injection molding with 1,350 m² (complete in-house injection molding production) and the expansion of the logistics center.
  • 2012: investment in new 3-axis machining center with a machining area of 4050 x 2050 mm from the company Wissner. Employees: 40
  • 2013: CAD system, many new products, new price list, new packaging - even more performance and transparency for our customers. Employees: 45
  • 2014: Introduction of PVC white, expansion of the team to 55 employees.
  • 2015: The team grows to 64 employees
  • 2016: The hall area is expanded to 16,000 m². In addition, our test laboratory is built.
  • 2018: Opening of our new logistics center.
  • 2020: Presentation of the new throttle system.
  • 2022: Start of construction of the new production hall. In the period from 2000 to 2022, the company quadrupled in size!
  • Today: 36 years of HoKa with 3 decades of experience.
  • 2023: Introduction of the new ERP system
